June 5th is International Trails Day and the St. Margaret’s Area Bay Rails to Trails Association is encouraging everyone to get out and enjoy the trail with your friends & family. Walk, run, bicycle or join the N.S. Ramblers Bicycle Club on a trail ride. The St. Margaret’s Area Bay Rails to Trails Association in partnership with that N.S. Ramblers Bicycle Club will be having an open barbecue for all to enjoy just west of the Bike and Bean off the trail in Tantallon at the Trolley House Stables from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. (signage will be post on the trail).

The N.S. Ramblers Bicycle Club has organized a bicycle ride starting from the Parking Lot on Highway #3 across from Peggy’s Cove Road (beside the Mariposa). They call this a "go 'til you are half tired" ride as they will leave as a group, at your own comfortable speed, heading west towards Hubbards on the beautiful and scenic SMB Trail. After one hour (or less if you choose) they will return to the Trolley House Stables and enjoy refreshments, hamburgers / veggie burgers as well as a few draw prizes. The N.S. Ramblers Bicycle Club will be meeting at 9:45 a.m. for a 10:00 a.m. departure and ALL ARE WELCOME to join them!

Contact Bill Wiggins of the St. Margaret's Bay Trail (bwigginsbaytrail.ca) for more information about the days events and barbecue, or Bob White with the NS Ramblers (bikebob@eastlink.ca) for more specifics details on the organized bike ride.

Hope to see you on the Trail!
