St. Margaret’s Bay Rails to Trails Association is Providing Free Bike Rentals and Trail Barbeque on June 4th.

June 4th will be an exciting day in the Bay. The SMBARTA in support of “June is Active Transportation Month in NS”, “HRM Bike Week” and “International trail Day” will be providing the opportunity for those that do not currently own a bicycle to “Get Back in the Saddle Again”.

We invite you on a first come first serve basis to pre-register for a free day rental so that you can get out and enjoy the Bay Trail. Our goal is that by reintroducing past and new riders to the trail, they will come to realize the numerous benefits the trail has to offer. In addition to family recreation, health benefits, enjoying the many trail vistas and ocean views or meeting friends, we hope they realize that the trail is a wonderful community Active Transportation corridor. To register for your free bicycle rental/s please email stmargaretstrail@eastlink.ca.

To learn more about NS Active Transportation Month and the St. Margaret’s Bay Trail, on June 4th the SMBARTA will be hosting an information booth at the Tantallon Elementary School “Spring Fling” from 10:00 to 2:00 p.m.

We also invite you to celebrate International Trail Day and HRM Bike Week with the St. Margaret’s Bay Rails to Trails Association at their 5th Annual Trail Barbeque on June 4th. The barbeque is free, open to all and is held from 11:00 to 2:00 at the Trolley House Stable which is located about 100 feet or so west of the Bike and Bean (signage will be posted). We would like to encourage everyone to get out and walk, run, ride on the trail and join us for this social event.

Hope to see you on the Trail!
